Ludmila Smirnova, Ph. D., is widely recognized for her leadership in applying emerging Internet technologies to instruction, serving as a key designer and facilitator of Moodle for Teachers workshops at IT4ALL and conducting collaborative projects globally. As Professor of Education at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y. since 2001, she regularly teaches courses in Curricular Planning, Methods of Teaching and Teaching with Technology. She is a certified Smart Board trainer, who trains pre-service teachers how effectively use smart technologies in teaching.

Previously she was professor of education at Volgograd State Pedagogical University (Russia), where she also served as Dean of the School of Foreign Languages. Her publications include books, chapters, papers and conference presentations locally and world-wide.
